BLOOD CANCER AND ITS TYPES

Cancer is one of the most complicated topics to address when it comes to public knowledge. People assume that the only way of treating cancer is chemotherapy. Although very few are aware that several Blood cancer specialists suggest that chemotherapy has its own side effects and cannot be prescribed to every patient.

Most blood cancers are also known as hematologic cancers. They are created in the bone marrow, the same place where blood is produced. Leukemia

Hodgkin Lymphoma

It is a type of cancer that originates from white blood cells called lymphocytes, and where multinucleated RS Cells are present in the patient’s lymph nodes. Blood cancer specialist say that it may affect people at any age but is found common between 20-40years of age or above 55 years.

In his type of cancer, the cells grow abnormally and may spread beyond prediction within no time.

Multiple Myeloma

It is a type of cancer that is formed in a white blood cell known as a Plasma cell. Blood cancer specialist have been indicating that healthy plasma cells help prevent and fight against bacteria and infections by creating antibodies, whereas, cancerous plasma cells accumulate in the bone marrow and crowd out healthy blood cells. 

Symptoms : 

  1. Bone pain, especially in your spine or chest

  3. Loss of appetite and excessive thirst

  4. Mental fogginess or confusion and fatigue

  5. Frequent infections and weight loss

  6. Weakness or numbness in your legs
